This review won't require a lot of space. Why? Because there are no negatives to talk about and very few complications in these car mounts for your favorite gadgets. If you have a PDA, Cellphone, or any one of a large number of gadgets you want to have mounted in your car - ProClips are THE way to go.

The idea at ProClips was simple. You've got 'x' number of gadgets that people want to use in their cars and 'n' number of cars that each pose their own mounting challenges. Since there are two parts to this problem, they must have reasoned, why not make the mounting solution in two parts? Let the user combine the two parts to make a final mounting solution! It's just that simple.
My challenge was to get my Nokia 6620 cellphone mounted in my 1990 Toyota Corolla where I could easily access it and use it. I'd tried several well-known car mounting kits. One BROKE my airvent (I fixed it though) and the others tended to fall off over time. All of them had at least one fragile part that I just knew would eventually break.
ProClips made a simple solution to all of this. I ordered the 1990 Toyota Corolla compatible backplate that easily clipped onto the section of my dash to the right of my radio. Once there, it fit so perfectly that you would have to be determined to remove it to even make it move slightly. For my Nokia I got the compatible frontplate that the cellphone just drops into perfectly. It's formed to fit the phone (which is sort of shaped like a skinny soap bar) and has a bonus! A strong clip on the right side that I can hang my bluetooth headset on when I'm not using it. These two parts are attached by two steel screws that go together easily.
All parts are made of a very tough plastic. It's just flexible enough so it won't break if struck. It's strong enough to stay firmly in place. I've accidentally whacked the clip on the side several times and it hasn't bent, broken, or even shown a mark.
ProClips seems to offer backplates for all cars and frontplates for most gadgets you could want to put in a car. Check them out at http://www.proclipusa.com/default.asp
