Palm Os Or Pocket Pc, Which Would You Prefer And Why ?

I want to buy a handheld. So I wish to have a survey about which operating system is preferred. Thanks

If you are looking for a cut and dry answer, you wont find it here. The answer isn't that easy; it's really a matter of preference. User's opinions are as varied as the users themselves

I use both a Palm Treo 650 and Verizon VX6700 PPC.

For the longest time I was a Palm user. Its simplicity was the biggest factor.
Palm prices are lower than the Pocket PCs. Palm needs fewer resources. It's easier to use.

The Pocket PCs tend to offer a better browser and multitasking (but it also consumes more memory).

You can also find a great number for third-party software available for the Palm, but software availability for the Pocket PC suck.

If you are new to PDAs and only need something simple with multimedia apps, you can go with the Palm.
