I recently came across Curse of the Pharaohs(COTP) which is a
perfect game for anyone who loves platform, RPG, puzzle or adventure
games-in other words everyone. As the name implies, COTP is set
in Egypt with stunning graphics and atmospheric music. This game really
makes you think laterally and is just so much fun!!!
In Curse of the Pharaohs, you take on the role of an adventurer making
his way through dark caves, Egyptian tombs, lava dungeons and many
other innovative scenarios. There is a great training level that
teaches you how to jump up platforms, climb up ladders, crouch
through small passage ways and much more. You also learn that just when
you thought it was safe some new threat on your life suddenly appears.
Each level is a complete adventure-the controls are simple and easy to
pick up-the satisfaction level is high. IThere are
enough clues in the layout of the dungeon\cavern\tombs to get you
started in the right direction-however if you do not explore properly
and end up at the next level, then you may find yourself without enough
first aid to repair your health or enough weapons to progress further.
So remember to explore completely-even if you have found the key to the
next level and to save often.
But don''t worry if you mess up since there is an autosave facility
which acts as a safety net-so even if you do forget to save you will
not have to go too far back to pick the adventure up again. Another
great thing about this game is the ability to quickly and simply save
at ANY point in the action. So whether you want to play for hours or
just for a few minutes this adventure will not disappoint. The
developer is very responsive and I look forward to lots more from him
in the future.
Honestly everyone just download this game and try it -you will not be
disappointed. I hace given a demo to more than 10 of my buddies and
they are hooked now!!
