Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forums, but I've been looking at a PDA for a while.  I'm definitely sure I want to go with a Windows based PDA and don't want to get anything too expensive as this will be my first PDA purchase, and I want to make sure whatever I get I put to good use.

I need a PDA that will allow me to surf the net to at least check email (and do a little IMing when need be).  I also need something that will allow me to keep a calendar, and have access to a few windows based programs if I'm in a pinch.  I want something that is good quality and also not too close to being "obsolete".

I have found the ASUS MyPal A626.  From the reviews I have read and what I can find it seems like a pretty solid unit.  Although I liked the Palm TX (I know it's Palm based), I am quite reluctant to purchase it because of the soldered battery...who knows how long it could last and how much money it may cost to replace it.

Does anyone have any experience with the A626?  Does anyone have any suggestions for any other units with a top cost of about $300?

Thanks!!
El

Hello,

Thanks for posting the question. I am not sure what your best bet would be at this point. I like the new Trimbles. I never herd anything bad about the Palm TX however. However if you want windows so be it!
