I thought I would post this see if the members had any suggestions: Basic consideration for cell phone: - I live in Bali, Indonesia 60% of the time.
- I need to replace the SIM card when I'm in Bali since 80% of calls and SMS msgs are within Indonesia. It's normally a prepay process there.
- I'm in other SE Asia countries 10% of the time. (Singapore, Thailand, India)
- So I'm in Woodside 30% of the year and the only service that works well in Woodside is Verizon; Cingular is mediocre, but works.
If I get just a phone, then I need: to make local country calls -weather that be in the US or another country) store and play music, a reasonable hi-pixel camera, have extra memory, port for using a memory stick. small enough to fit in my tiny hands If I get a PDA, I need: (Yahoo is my email) - do email, from both land dial up and wi-fi free cafes
- blue tooth,
- wi-fi so I can use skype
- to make local country calls -weather that be in the US or another country)
- store and play music,
- a reasonable hi-pixel camera,
- have extra memory,
- port for using a memory stick.
- small enough to fit in my tiny hands
