Greetings,

I am looking for a PDA that uses USB flash drives (the small plug-in type). I want a PDA that will allow me to backup data to the thumb drive and easily transfer data between a PC and the PDA using the thumb drive. Is there anything like this out there???

Why do I want this? I have a Pocket PC (iPaq) provided by my company, and it is complete junk. It's only function is solitaire on airplane rides. The Windows Sync software doesn't work (after 20 hours of futzing with the latest version). Getting stuff on and off an PDA shouldn't be a complete nightmare.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

PDAs with USB ports are rare. Most use a memory card that is much more common on laptops aa well.

The Toshiba and Loox are 2 PDAa that support this. The Toshiba E750 can support a 4 port USB hub, USB keyboard, USB mouse and 512 MB USB thumb drive. Some USB devices need more power than a PDA can supply, so you may need an external power source.
