a quick question...i'm doing a project at school, and i don't know much about the pda or programming...so just a few questions...

1.  is a hard to make a program for the pda?

2.  would it be difficult to put some sort of security on the program?  example, if i wanted to beam my file to another pda, i want to be able to type in a password before it lets me beam to another pda.

3.  what would be the best way to go about this and who would be the best people to talk too?

thank you.

1) Takes about as much to develop for the PDA as it does programming anything else.

2) You should be able to ask for a password in your program to beam a
file, but as far as a Pocket PC, it will let you beam files and syncing
will let you transfer any files without any password.

I bet Palm is about the same.

You would be better off restricting running a program based on User ID rather than trying to password file tranfer.

3) If you're developing for PPC, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/developers/default.mspx.

You can use Visual Studio and the .NET CF, Embedded C++, or search online for other options.
