Modified Stylus

I am doing a school project regarding a modified stylus, though this is only an idea.

Our stylus can be used on both touch screens devices and digitizing tablets.

It has 2 features, in the form of buttons, added on the body of they
stylus. First button is for colour selections which the user can
program it to carry 2 or more colours. Second button is for eraser
selection which the user can switch back and forth for writing or
erasing.

there is an additional pen,at the other end of the stylus, for paper usage.

My question is how can i make my stylus colour selection function work, since all touch screens devices and digitizing tablets dont have the function to change font colors?
Is there a way?
